Evet Name: PTL – Pastor Theologian Lunch

October 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join us for PTL: Pastor Theologian Lunch on Tuesdays for an informal gathering where students and faculty dialogue theologically about issues and circumstances that arise in internships, jobs and everyday ministry — and eat pizza!

Join faculty hosts Dr. Todd Billings, Dr. Suzanne McDonald, and Dr. Kristen Johnson and a series of guest pastor-theologians.

These lunches are not lecture sessions, but discussions — of interesting and at times off-beat topics for pastor-theologians. What are we to make of reports of “resurrections,” such as in the recent movie Breakthrough? How should we approach congregation ministry in the midst of social and political polarization? What insights might pastor-theologians like J.P. Sundararajan and Mika Edmondson bring to us about being theologically-minded pastors today? These are just a few of the topics and guests that will be coming up this semester.

We will meet from 12:00pm -1:05pm in Room 019. Space is limited, so please RSVP (each week) by this link: “I want to PTL!”

Sign-up closes at 10:45am each Tuesday so that we can order the pizza — so sign-up now!
