83 percent of applicants to Grand Valley State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Grand Valley State University, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Allendale enrolled 24,677 students in fall 2018, including 21,680 in undergraduate and 2,997 in graduate programs, data shows. 7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

89 percent of undergraduates are residents of Michigan, and 10 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (82 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).

The school admitted 83 percent of the 17,133 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 30 percent enrolled.
