The City of Coopersville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Water and Wastewater Laborer/Operator ($18.27/hr to $21.88/hr. DOQ). This person will install, maintain, and repair city sewers, water lines, read water meters, complete lab work, do general wastewater plant maintenance, and be on call as required. Average knowledge of mathematics is critical to some functions of this job. It is a requirement of the position for this individual to progress within three years from date of hire to Operator status by obtaining the required S-4 Water Distribution and/or D Wastewater license (preference is for licenses in both areas to be obtained). This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package. On-call evenings and weekends are scheduled and a requirement of the position.
