City of Fennville issued the following announcement on Jan 5.
The City of Fennville would like to remind residents to protect their homes from freezing pipes during frigid temperatures. Here are a few tips to help prevent frozen pipes:
* Keep your garage doors closed if there are water supply lines in the garage.
*Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate around the plumbing. Remember to move any harmful cleaners or chemical out of the reach of children.
*Let the cold water drip from the faucets in your house, especially the faucets located near exterior walls. Running water through the pipe - even at a trickle - helps prevent pipes from freezing.
