City of Cheboygan issued the following announcement on Feb 4.

The Cheboygan Main Street Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is accepting applications for a full-time Executive Director (ED). The Executive Director will be responsible for coordinating downtown revitalization activities in the City of Cheboygan utilizing the Main Street four-point approach. Event coordination, fundraising, budgeting, public relations, marketing, volunteer management and financial reporting are important functions of the position.  The Executive Director will serve as a visionary, listener, and collaborator with various civic and professional constituents in the community, particularly downtown business owners and residents.

A Bachelor’s Degree and/or combination of education and experience in a discipline related to downtown revitalization such as historic preservation, urban/regional planning, public relations, public or business administration, marketing or design is required. Non-profit administration and/or business development experience is a plus.  The ED must be entrepreneurial, energetic, well organized, and capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and social media communication skills are essential. Salary range is $50,000+ with excellent City benefits, and will commensurate with experience and education.
