Hudsonville Public Schools recently issued the following announcement.
Sam, a first grader from Ms. Kuiper's class at Georgetown Elementary, opened his heart to help heal the hearts of others. After learning about the Kids Heart Challenge from the American Heart Association in P.E. class, Sam was determined to help. After donating out of his own money, he took to his street and neighborhood collecting cans.
After hours in the can return, he has raised $121.50 so far and still has more cans! This little eagle has filled our hearts with pride and possibly our eyes with tears.
