City of Brighton issued the following announcement on Mar 7.
The City’s contractor will begin working on Phase II of the Northwest Neighborhood Project on Wednesday, March 9. They will be removing the pavement on N. Fourth Street (from Main to the railroad tracks), Chestnut (from N. Fourth to N. Fifth and from N. First to N. Second), N. First (from Cedar to Walnut), and Walnut (both from N. First to N. Second). Please see the linked flier for map and press release.
As a reminder, the work will include the replacement of all water and sewer mains, the installation of a storm sewer system, including the installation of curb and gutter, replacement of driveway approaches, the installation of sidewalks, removal and replacement of street trees where applicable, as well as the complete rehabilitation of the all roadways.
These streets will be closed to through traffic and drivers in this area can expect to experience detours and traffic delays for the duration of the project. We ask everyone to drive carefully to project yourself, other drivers, and the workers.
