The City of Cheboygan is seeking “Letters of Interest & Qualifications” from qualified City residents for consideration of appointment to a vacated City Council seat until the November 8, 2022 General Election is held. Please submit the same to the Office of the City Clerk by email at asingles@cheboygan.org or to PO Box 39, 403 North Huron Street, Cheboygan, MI 49721, by 4:00 p.m., May 19, 2022.
“Letters of Interest & Qualifications” will be reviewed and addressed by the City Council at a Regular City Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 403 North Huron Street, Cheboygan, MI 49721.
Please note “No person shall be elected or appointed who is in default to the City. No person shall be eligible to any elective office of the City unless he/she shall be an elector thereof.” (Charter, Chapter 3, Sec 3.5)
