Happy National Dog Day, Owosso!
Today we want to introduce you to School Resource Officer Dave Stone. Pictured with Dave at Emerson Elementary is his new "pawtner," Emmy!
Officer Stone has just started his 2nd year as an SRO assigned to the elementary schools.
Prior to joining OPD, Dave spent over 20 years with Flint Township P.D., with 12 years being assigned as a K-9 handler.
Dave has three grandchildren attending Owosso Schools; Dominick is a junior at Lincoln H.S., Elizabeth is in 3rd and Rylee in 1st grade, both attend Emerson.
Our SRO's assist the school administration in maintaining a safe and secure environment. The administrators benefit from the SRO's training, knowledge, and experience.
