The City of Wayland is seeking a highly motivated individual for the vacant position of Public Works Operator.
The position includes work relating to the maintenance and operations of the City’s parks, facilities, properties, vehicles, storm water infrastructure, water treatment and distribution infrastructure, and sewer collection and infrastructure. Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, valid Michigan CDL (or ability to obtain one), and a preferred minimum of two years of relevant experience. The City offers a starting pay of $21.11/hour + DOQ, and a competitive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, MERS pension retirement, and generous leave time.
