Grand Valley State announces televised football schedule for WXSP-TV

Grand Valley State University (GVSU) athletics has announced the three football games that will be broadcast live on WXSP-TV for the 2024 season. WXSP-TV will serve as the exclusive live in-market television partner for the Lakers. Locally, WXSP is available on channel 15 over-the-air, although this may vary depending on cable or satellite systems.

The televised schedule begins with the season opener against Central State on Thursday, September 5th at Lubbers Stadium, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. The other games to be aired include a contest against Northern Michigan on Saturday, October 12th at 7 p.m., and the Anchor-Bone Classic versus Ferris State on Saturday, October 26th at 3 p.m.

Bryan Fongers will handle play-by-play duties for Laker football broadcasts and video streaming on FloSports for the 2023 campaign. Bob Mitchell will continue providing color commentary.

Additionally, all GVSU home games and GLIAC road games will be available on FloFootball. Radio coverage of every game, both home and away, will be provided by 97 LAV in West Michigan, starting 90 minutes before kickoff.
