The 2024-25 season commences for the GVSU women's golf team this week as they participate in the Folds of Honor Collegiate. The three-day event, held at the American Dunes Golf Course in Grand Haven, begins on Monday and concludes on Wednesday.

This marks the inaugural year for the women's Folds of Honor Tournament, with the Lakers being the only Division II team invited to compete. The Lakers will be among the first to tee off at 7:30 a.m., paired with Arizona and Kansas.

Representing GVSU this week are Olivia Stoll, Julia Sanchez, Paula Badino, Lea Stotz, and Evelyn Park. Stoll was an All-American last season and received GLIAC Golfer of the Year honors for a second consecutive year. Sanchez and Badino were both recognized as All-GLIAC performers last season; Sanchez was named to the First-Team while Badino made it to the Second-Team.

GVSU enters this season ranked 17th in the preseason WGCA poll after winning the GLIAC Championship and two other events last season. They placed fourth at Regionals and advanced to their eighth straight National Tournament.

Live coverage of the event is available through live stats links or by tuning into Golf Channel or Peacock throughout each day.
