The GVSU men's golf team is set to host the Folds of Honor Challenge at Meadows Golf Course from Sunday through Tuesday. This marks their first home tournament of the fall season, following their initial competition earlier this week.

The Lakers have won the Folds of Honor Challenge for the past two years, securing victories in both 2022 and 2023. Drew Coble emerged as the individual champion last season, with teammates Manuel Cue Vargas and Charlie Cooley finishing in the top ten.

Earlier this week, GVSU participated in the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven. As the only Division II school, they placed 11th overall. Coble achieved the best individual result for the team, tying for 14th place. Cooley and Bryce Wheeler also finished within the top 50. The lineup for this week's challenge includes Coble, Cooley, Wheeler, Andrew Gwilliams, and Cue Vargas. Murphy Kehoe and Jan Eckhard will compete as individuals.

Ten teams are scheduled to participate in this year's event on the men's side. The Lakers enter as the highest-ranked team at number seven in the GCAA poll, while West Texas A&M is tied for 15th.

Live results will be available throughout the tournament.
