The No. 2 Grand Valley State women's soccer team secured a 2-1 road victory against No. 4 Central Missouri on Sunday, September 15, 2024. This win advances the Lakers to a season record of 3-0-1.

Grand Valley State initiated the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal from Emma Chudik. Chudik maneuvered skillfully within the box and directed the ball into the bottom right corner of the net with her left foot, marking her second goal of the season.

In the second half, Alli French extended the lead in the 78th minute by scoring her second goal of the season. French evaded a defender on the right side and placed her shot into the top left corner of the goal using her right foot. Central Missouri responded in the 82nd minute with a penalty kick but was unable to equalize, resulting in a Lakers' victory.

Alli French contributed significantly with three shots, two on target, including the game-winning goal. Emma Chudik scored once from one shot attempt, while Abby Winn added another shot on goal. Isabel Imes started as goalkeeper and made three saves, while Cailynn Junk played for 28 minutes and recorded four saves.
