GVSU men's golfer Drew Coble has been named GLIAC Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Last week in the opening tournament of the year at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, Coble finished in a tie for 14th, making him the lone Division II golfer to end that high. He shot rounds of 69, 71, and 76, with 12 birdies to lead the Lakers team that finished 11th, defeating four Division I squads.

At the Folds of Honor Challenge this week, Coble helped lead the Lakers to a team win, as he earned runner-up honors individually. The sixth-year carded rounds of 72, 68, and 69 to finish four under for the event. He made four birdies in every round to claim his first top-five finish of the season.

This will be the third time Coble has been named the conference Golfer of the Week.
