GVSU women's golf team triumphs again at Lady Bulldog Invitational

For the second consecutive day, the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's golf team secured a tournament victory, winning the Lady Bulldog Invitational held in Big Rapids, Michigan.

The Lakers achieved rounds of 311 and 307, finishing seven strokes ahead of their competitors. Ferris State claimed second place with scores of 615 and 310 at +49. Davenport followed in third at +52, while Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) ended at seventy over. Northwood University completed the top five with a score of +71.

Freshman Charlotte Goersch tied for second after her recent win at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite. She shared this position with Evelyn Park and Olivia Stoll, all concluding at +7. Goersch recorded six birdies across her two rounds of 76 (+4) and 75 (+3). Park's performance included three birdies and an eagle in her rounds of 75 and 76. Stoll posted rounds of 80 (+8) and 71 (-1), securing four birdies.

Lea Stotz finished sixth at +9, achieving three birdies during her rounds of 76 and 77 (+5). Megan Miron tied for eighth with scores of 73 (+1) and 83 (+11), sinking four birdies to finish at +12.

Paula Badino tied for eighteenth at +17, shooting rounds of 82 (+10) and 79 (+7), including two birdies. Julia Sanchez also made two birdies in her rounds of 83 and 81 (+9), ending in a tie for twenty-second at +20. Rachael Krieger tied for twenty-sixth with one birdie in her rounds of 84 (+12) and 82, totaling +22. Lorena Saquicoray finished thirty-second at +26 after making two birdies during her rounds of 83 and 87 (+15).

The GVSU women's golf team will take a short break before traveling to Pennsylvania later this month to compete in the Nemacolin Intercollegiate.
