Laker cross country teams are set to compete in their final regular season meet at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday, October 12. The event will take place in Romeoville, Illinois, hosted by Lewis University.

The men's team will participate in two races during the day. Eleven members will compete in the Men's Championship 8k starting at 9:45 a.m. CST, while six others will race in the Men's Open 8k at noon. Meanwhile, eight women from Grand Valley State University (GVSU) will run in the Women's Championship 6k at 10:30 a.m.

In last year's competition, only the women's team participated and secured second place with a total score of 98 points. This year, four returning runners—Maggie O'Malley, Madison Ebright, Maria Mitchell, and Maria Widmann—aim to replicate or improve upon their previous performance.

The Lewis Crossover concludes Grand Valley's regular season schedule. Their post-season begins with the 2024 GLIAC Cross Country Championships on October 26 in Big Rapids, Michigan.
