The Grand Valley State University men's golf team has announced a change in their fall schedule. Originally set to compete in the Copperhead Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida, the Lakers will now participate in the Doc Spragg Invitational in Findlay, Ohio. The decision was made due to weather conditions affecting the Florida area.

The upcoming tournament is scheduled to take place at the Findlay Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. Participants will play 36 holes on Monday and an additional 18 holes on Tuesday. GVSU has previously won this event for two consecutive years, achieving a new course record of 840 (-24) over 54 holes during last year's competition.

Representing the Lakers this week are Drew Coble, Charlie Cooley, Bryce Wheeler, Manuel Cue Vargas, and Jan Eckhard. Notably, Coble, Cooley, Wheeler, and Cue have all recorded below-par scores at this event in previous years.
