GVSU women's golf finishes second at Intercollegiate tournament

The GVSU women's golf team concluded their fall season with a notable performance at the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The Lakers secured second place, with three team members finishing among the top 10.

Findlay University claimed the tournament title, finishing eight over par, which was 24 strokes ahead of GVSU. The Lakers finished second at +32 after a final round score of 297. North Georgia followed in third place at fifty over par, UIndy came fourth at +52, and Tiffin completed the top five two strokes behind UIndy at +54.

Megan Miron led the way for GVSU with a fifth-place finish at five over par. Her final round included a score of 75 (+3) and three birdies. Olivia Stoll closely followed in a tie for sixth place at +6, achieving an even-par score of 72 with four birdies in her last round. Charlotte Goersch tied for eighth place with a score of eight over par after making two birdies and scoring 73 (+1) in her final round. Lea Stotz tied for 14th place with a total score of +15 following her last round of 77 (+5) that included one birdie. Evelyn Park ended the tournament tied for 33rd place with a final score of +31 after shooting an 88 (+16) in her concluding round.
