GVSU women's golf team aims to improve standing in final round

The GVSU women's golf team competed in the William Beall Fall Classic in Findlay, Ohio. After two rounds, they are positioned fourth with one round remaining.

UIndy leads after 36 holes at +11, closely followed by host Findlay at +12. Wayne State holds third place at +24, while the Lakers are at +26 with rounds of 307 and 295. Gannon completes the top five with a score of +35.

Julia Sanchez is the leading golfer for the Lakers, tied for ninth after shooting rounds of 78 (+6) and 69 (-3), making seven birdies. Olivia Stoll is tied for 17th with a score of six over par after her rounds of 75 (+3). Megan Miron is tied for 24th, ending nine over par with rounds of 76 (+4) and 77 (+5), achieving five birdies. Rachael Krieger and Paula Badino are both tied for 30th at eleven over par. Krieger recorded rounds of 81 (+9) and 74 (+2) with three birdies, while Badino had scores of 78 (+6) and 77 (+5) with two birdies. Evelyn Park follows closely behind in a tie for 35th at +12, making five birdies during her rounds of 79 (+7) and 77 (+5). Lorena Saquicoray stands in the 72nd position with a score of +29 from her rounds of 87 and 86.

The final round will conclude tomorrow as the Lakers aim to improve their standing.
