GVSU women's golf team competes in NCAA Nationals Preview

The GVSU women's golf team is participating in their final event of the fall season at the NCAA Nationals Preview in Orlando, Florida. After the first day of competition, the Lakers are tied for 10th place.

Barry University leads the tournament with a score of one under par after completing a round of 287. Flagler College follows closely in second place at one over par. Dallas Baptist University and Saint Leo University are tied for third position at two over par. West Texas A&M and Limestone College share fifth place, each carding three over par.

For GVSU, Megan Miron is leading her team by tying for 17th place after shooting an even-par round of 72, during which she made five birdies. Olivia Stoll is tied for 30th with a score of three over par, having shot a round of 75 that included one birdie. Julia Sanchez and Rachael Krieger are both tied for 42nd after shooting rounds of four over par (76), with Sanchez making one birdie. Kay Zubkus finished her round at nine over par (81) with one birdie and is currently tied for 72nd.
