GVSU women’s golf finishes ninth at Lady Moc tournament

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's golf team concluded their participation in the Lady Moc 2.0 tournament, finishing in ninth place. The event was held in Lakeland, Florida.

Dallas Baptist emerged as the tournament champion with a final round score of 284 (-4), concluding at -3 overall. They led by 15 strokes over second-place Flagler, which finished at +12. Nova Southeastern and Saint Leo shared third place with scores of twenty-one over par, while Lynn completed the top five at +23. GVSU finished with a total score of +36 after a final round of 309 (+20).

Individual performances for GVSU included Olivia Stoll, who achieved three birdies in her last round to score 73 (+1), tying for 17th place at +5 overall. Paula Badino tied for 32nd at +11 after shooting a final round of 77 (+5) with two birdies. Megan Miron ended in a tie for 37th with a score of +12 following her final round of 80 (+8). Julia Sanchez made one birdie during her round of 80, finishing tied for 57th at +15. Rachael Krieger recorded two birdies and scored a final round of 79 (+7), ending tied for 64th at +16. Lorena Saquicoray completed her rounds with a score of 90 to finish in the 93rd position.

The Lakers are set to compete next week in the North Georgia Matchplay Event scheduled for April 8th and April 9th.
