The GVSU women's golf team concluded their participation in the William Beall Fall Classic with a fourth-place finish. This marks their third top-five placement in the fall season.
In the competition, UIndy secured first place with a score of sixteen over par, finishing seven strokes ahead of second-place Findlay. Wayne State claimed third at thirty-three over, followed by GVSU six strokes behind. Gannon completed the top five with a fifty-four over par finish.
Olivia Stoll led the Lakers by shooting her best round of 74 (+2), tying for ninth place at eight over. Megan Miron also recorded her best performance with a 75 (+3), ending tied for 17th at +12. Julia Sanchez finished tied for 22nd after an 82 final round, concluding at thirteen over. Rachael Krieger shot a 75 to tie for 24th at +14. Paula Badino was two strokes behind, tied for 27th at +16 following her final round of 77. Evelyn Park ended tied for 45th at +23 after shooting an 84 in her last round, while Lorena Saquicoray was tied for 75th at +47 with a final round score of 90.
Looking ahead, the Lakers will next compete in Florida during the NCAA Nationals Preview on October 30 and 31 at Orange County National Golf Course in Orlando.
