Rylie Bisballe named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week for fourth time

For the fourth time this season, Rylie Bisballe has been named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week. Bisballe averaged 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and added seven steals and two blocks.

She scored a career-high 28 points in the overtime victory over Northern Michigan. At the end of the third quarter, she buried a three-pointer that put her over 1,000 points for her career. The win helped the Lakers clinch the regular season GLIAC title for the third consecutive season. In the season finale on Saturday, Bisballe scored 17 points and had nine boards, as she recorded five steals and a block in the win over Michigan Tech. In league play, Bisballe is averaging 16.2 points and 7.2 rebounds, ranking fourth in the conference in each category.

The Lakers open up the GLIAC Tournament on Wednesday, as they host Purdue Northwest at 6:00.
