Grand Valley State defeats Findlay in wrestling dual

Grand Valley State University's wrestling team secured a 32-11 victory against Findlay on Thursday, February 8th. The match took place at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena in front of over 500 spectators. This win improved the Lakers' record to 12-5 for the season. They are set to conclude their regular season at the Ashland Duals on Sunday, February 11th, where they will compete against #19 Ashland and #23 Glenville State.

The Lakers achieved seven match wins, including five with bonus points. Freshman Aaron Lucio started strong with a technical fall victory at 125 pounds. Fellow freshmen Collin Twigg and Jak Keller also contributed wins at 133 and 141 pounds respectively. Sophomore Chris Donathan maintained his undefeated streak with a major decision win at 149 pounds. Josh Kenny won by forfeit at 174 pounds, while senior Seth Konynenbelt marked Senior Night with an individual victory at 184 pounds. Wyatt Miller closed out scoring for Grand Valley State with a pin in the 197-pound category.
