Grand Valley State dominates Rochester University with decisive wrestling victory

Grand Valley State University secured a decisive victory over Rochester University with a final score of 51-1 at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. The match, attended by 549 spectators, saw the Lakers improve their season record to 10 wins and 4 losses. The team achieved eight bonus point wins during the competition. Rochester University faced penalties, losing two team points due to unsportsmanlike conduct.

The match details are as follows: At 125 pounds, Luca Conflitti from Grand Valley won by forfeit. In the 133-pound category, Collin Twigg pinned Dallas Stanton in just under three minutes. Jak Keller achieved a technical fall against Jager Kwiatkowski at 141 pounds with a score of 19-3.

Chris Donathan, ranked fourth in his weight class, pinned Nathan Young in the 149-pound match within two minutes and fourteen seconds. Rico Brown of Rochester claimed their only victory by decision over Caden Jacobs at 157 pounds with a close score of 9-7.

In subsequent matches, Trammel Robinson pinned Jailen Tatum at the 165-pound level after five minutes and twenty-two seconds on the mat. Josh Kenny, ranked second in his class, earned a technical fall against David Van Daele at 174 pounds with a score of 17-2.

Seth Konynenbelt secured another pin for Grand Valley against Julius Polk in the 184-pound category within three minutes and forty-nine seconds. Wyatt Miller continued Grand Valley's dominance with a technical fall against Kyle Scott at the 197-pound level with a score of 15-0.

Finally, Owen Hawley completed the event by pinning Jackson Schenk in just over two minutes in the heavyweight category.
