The Grand Valley State University wrestling team is set to compete in two road duals at Notre Dame College on January 18, 2024. The Lakers, ranked #16, will first face Notre Dame College at 5 p.m., followed by a match against the #2 ranked West Liberty at 6:30 p.m. This season marks the return of varsity wrestling for Grand Valley State after a 32-year hiatus.

The Lakers have shown strong performance recently with victories over nationally-ranked top-10 teams UNC-Pembroke and Lake Erie in the past two weeks. Their current record stands at 9-2.

The probable lineup for the meets includes Luca Conflitti at 125 pounds (3-7), Logan Klinge at 133 pounds (4-9), and either Jak Keller (10-12) or Dylan Lorincz (3-7) at 141 pounds. Michael Merrit is expected to compete at 149 pounds with a record of 8-8, while Gustavo DeLima will likely wrestle at 157 pounds with a record of 5-7.

At the higher weight classes, Trammel Robinson (20-10) or Miles Curtis (5-7) are set for the 165-pound category. Matthew Morris will represent the team in the 174-pound class with a record of 3-9. Seth Konynenbelt may compete in both the 184-pound and potentially also in the 197-pound categories with an impressive record of 19-9, alongside Nate Mansor who has recorded one win and six losses this season. Brett Boudreau rounds out the lineup in the heavyweight division at 285 pounds with a record of four wins and eight losses.
