GVSU wrestlers place in top eight at Greyhound Open

Grand Valley State University participated in the Greyhound Open on Sunday, where five of its wrestlers placed among the top eight across five weight classes. The event was non-scoring.

Brayden Mirjavadi, a freshman competing unattached, showcased his skills by achieving a 5-0 record and defeating two Big Ten opponents to secure the title at 184 pounds. Orion Wilson, also a freshman wrestling unattached, secured fifth place at 125 pounds with a 4-1 record. Bradley Mayse, another freshman competing unattached, achieved six consecutive wins and finished fifth at 174 pounds. Freshmen Logan Klinge (133) and Tyler Pressel (174), both wrestling unattached, concluded their performances in eighth place with records of 2-3.
