GVSU wrestling to conclude regular season against Ashland and Glenville State

Grand Valley State University's wrestling team is preparing for its final regular season dual meet at the Ashland Tri Meet. The team, ranked 11th nationally, will face off against 19th-ranked Ashland and 23rd-ranked Glenville State on Sunday. The matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively.

This season, GVSU has competed against eight ranked opponents in dual meets, with six of those teams being among the top 11 in the latest NWCA top 25 national poll. In their first collegiate varsity wrestling season in over three decades, GVSU holds a record of two wins and four losses against ranked teams.

The GVSU lineup includes four ranked wrestlers: Aaron Lucio (#9 at 125 lbs), Chris Donathan (#4 at 149 lbs), Josh Kenny (#2 at 174 lbs), and Wyatt Miller (#9 at 197 lbs). Glenville State's team features Gavin Quiocho (#3 at 133 lbs) and Guy Deleonardis (#7 at 155 lbs). Ashland's lineup includes Drew Wiechers (#7 at 157 lbs), Nate Barrett (#10 at 174 lbs), and Daniel Beemer (#2 at 184 lbs).

The probable lineup for GVSU is as follows:

- Collin Twigg (133) with a record of 17-9

- Jak Keller (141) with a record of 14-15

- Chris Donathan (149) with an undefeated record of 20-0

- Caden Jacobs (157) with a record of 10-18

- Trammel Robinson (165) with a record of 23-14

- Josh Kenny (174) with a record of 23-5

- Seth Konynenbelt (184) with a record of 23-12

- Wyatt Miller (197) with a record of 22-4

- Owen Hawley (Hwt.) with a record of 17-11
