GVSU men's golf team ties for tenth at Tennessee River Rumble

The GVSU men's golf team concluded their participation in the Tennessee River Rumble, securing a tie for 10th place. The event took place in Lenoir City, Tennessee.

Lincoln Memorial emerged victorious, surpassing North Georgia to claim the tournament title with an even-par score. North Georgia finished second at one over par, while Union secured third place at nine over. Wingate and USC Aiken completed the top five with scores of +13 and +14, respectively. GVSU recorded a final round score of 295 (+7), tying with Lenoir Rhyne and Carson Newman for 10th place.

Individually, Drew Coble achieved a tie for 8th position at even par after shooting a final round of 71 (-1) that included four birdies. Nick Krueger tied for 17th at +3 with a round of 74 (+2) and one birdie. Manuel Cue Vargas ended in a tie for 35th at +6 after carding three birdies today. Charlie Cooley's final round of 78 (+6) placed him in a tie for 74th at fifteen over par, while Bryce Wheeler tied for 92nd with his final round of 79 (+7).

The Lakers are scheduled to compete next from April 7-9 at the Ken Partridge Invitational in Indianapolis.
