The Grand Valley State men's basketball team achieved a significant milestone with their 1,000th program win, defeating Davenport 82-65 on Saturday. This victory marked a season sweep over the Panthers and improved the Lakers' record to 6-4 in the GLIAC and 9-11 overall.

Ethan Alderink was a standout performer for the Lakers, scoring a career-high 19 points and securing 12 rebounds, marking his second double-double of the season. In the first half, Alderink led with an impressive performance of 15 points and four rebounds on perfect shooting. Dunn also made significant contributions with three triples as the Lakers started strong with a 9-2 lead. Despite Davenport briefly taking a lead at 12-11, GVSU responded robustly to regain control and ended the half leading by 15 points.

The second half saw Davenport narrowing the gap to eight points before GVSU extended their lead again through an effective run initiated by Charity's play. The Lakers eventually secured their victory with a final score margin of 17 points.
