Grand Valley State prepares for key GLIAC road games against Parkside and Purdue Northwest

The Grand Valley State men's basketball team is set to hit the road for two GLIAC matchups this week. The Lakers will first face Parkside on Thursday, February 15, at 8:30 PM ET and then travel to take on Purdue Northwest on Saturday, February 17, at 4:00 PM ET.

The Lakers currently hold a fourth-place position in the GLIAC standings with a conference record of 6-6. Parkside stands tied for fifth place with a 6-7 record, while Purdue Northwest shares seventh place with a 5-8 record.

Ethan Alderink leads the Lakers' scoring efforts, averaging 12.4 points per game and shooting 46% from the field. He also averages 5.6 rebounds per game, ranking second on the team in that category. Marius Grazulis contributes an average of 10.8 points per game and ranks second in the GLIAC with eight rebounds per game. William Dunn adds another dimension to the team's offense by scoring an average of 10.7 points and leading in three-point shooting with a success rate of 43%. Britain Harris provides support off the bench, contributing an average of 10.3 points and leading the team with 25 steals.

Parkside enters Thursday's contest holding an overall record of 11-12. The Rangers average last in scoring within the GLIAC at 70 points per game but are efficient in ball control, committing only an average of 9.9 turnovers while forcing opponents into approximately 11.3 turnovers each game.

Colin O'Rourke is Parkside's top scorer, ranking eighth in the GLIAC with an average of 15.2 points per game while shooting at a rate of 47% from the field and adding five rebounds per game to his stats sheet.

Purdue Northwest also holds an overall record of 11-12 as they prepare to host Davenport before facing Grand Valley State over the weekend. Previously this season, Purdue Northwest defeated Grand Valley State at home with a buzzer-beater shot.

Brendan Temple leads Purdue Northwest by averaging around fourteen-and-a-half points each game while dishing out eighty-three assists throughout their current campaign thus far; he maintains high accuracy levels both inside (58%) as well outside perimeter areas (41%). CJ Jackson has contributed thirteen-point-per-game averages alongside securing nearly five rebounds along accumulating twenty-seven steals during gameplay timeframes too!
