The Grand Valley State men's basketball team secured a victory in a double-overtime game against Northern Michigan, with a final score of 106-99. The match took place on Thursday night in Marquette, Michigan. This win improved the Lakers' record to 10-7 in the GLIAC and 13-14 overall.

Britain Harris led the Lakers by scoring a career-high of 24 points, shooting 7-11 from the field. He also made three three-pointers and converted seven out of ten free throws. Marius Grazulis contributed significantly with his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 22 points and collecting ten rebounds. Grazulis also added four assists to his performance.

Trevor Smith and William Dunn each scored 15 points for GVSU. Dunn was efficient from the field with a 6-10 shooting performance and recorded two steals, while Smith grabbed three rebounds and shot 5-9 from the field. Jalen Charity had an impeccable shooting night, making all four attempts including two three-pointers for a total of 12 points. Ethan Alderink added ten points along with eight rebounds, while Mason Docks chipped in eight points and two steals.

The Lakers shot at an efficiency rate of 49% from the field and hit 45% of their shots from beyond the arc. They capitalized on Northern Michigan's turnovers by scoring 25 points off them while limiting their own turnovers to just seven.

In the first half, GVSU built up a significant lead early on but saw it reduced to single digits before responding with consecutive three-pointers to maintain control into halftime at 48-35.

Northern Michigan fought back in the second half to bring down GVSU's lead multiple times but managed to tie it up late in regulation time sending it into overtime.
