The Grand Valley State women's soccer team, ranked No. 20, ended their senior night match in a scoreless draw against Parkside at the GVSU Soccer Field on Friday. This result brings the Lakers' record to 8-2-6 overall and 6-1-5 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
Throughout the game, GVSU maintained control of possession and had a significant advantage in shots, with a total of 26 compared to Parkside's five. The Lakers also led in shots on goal with 11, while Parkside managed just one. Additionally, GVSU earned 11 corner kicks during the match, limiting Parkside to only one.
Senior Taylor Reid was prominent for the Lakers with four shots and three on target over her 75 minutes on the field. Junior Hannah Becker contributed four shots in her 43 minutes of play. Sophomore Sophia Morgan made an impact with three shots all aimed at goal within her 50-minute appearance. Senior Alicia White added three attempts with one reaching the target, and freshman Alli French recorded two shots on goal.
In goal for GVSU was redshirt freshman Isabel Imes, who successfully stopped Parkside's single shot on target.
