The Grand Valley State women's soccer team, ranked No. 20, is set to host two GLIAC matches this weekend. The Lakers will face Parkside on Friday, October 27, at 7:00 PM for senior night and will then play against Purdue Northwest on Sunday, October 29, at 1:00 PM.

The Lakers recently concluded their final road trip of the regular season with a draw against Saginaw Valley State and a victory over Ferris State. Their current record stands at 8-2-5 overall and they hold second place in the GLIAC with a conference record of 6-1-4.

Junior Emma Chudik leads the team in scoring with five goals and ten points. Sophomore Kacy Lauer follows with eight points from three goals and two assists. Senior Avery Lockwood scored the decisive goal in their last match against Ferris State. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Isabel Imes has made ten starts, achieving a record of 4-1-4 with 18 saves.

Parkside arrives for the weekend games holding a record of 5-7-2 overall and 2-7-2 in the GLIAC. They have lost their last four matches. In their previous encounter at Kenosha, GVSU won 1-0 thanks to Chudik's late goal. Forward Alexis Baker leads Parkside with four goals this season.

Purdue Northwest enters the weekend with a challenging season behind them, having secured only one draw in GLIAC play out of their total record of 2-11-2. The Lakers previously defeated them decisively earlier this season by a scoreline of 6-1 where Chudik scored her first career hat trick.

Both games are available for live streaming on FloSports. Updates can be followed via @GVSUSoccer on Twitter or through gvsulakers.com for live stats and video links.
