Grand Valley State University (GVSU) is set to host Ferris State University in a highly anticipated football match at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale, Michigan. The game, scheduled for October 26 at 3 p.m., will feature the #1-ranked GVSU against the #3-ranked Ferris State. This marks the 14th consecutive meeting where both teams are ranked, with six of those meetings featuring both teams in the top five.
Tickets for this year's Anchor-Bone Classic have been sold out since September 19. Current GVSU students can attend by presenting their valid student ID, which is non-transferable. Those without tickets can watch on FloSports or WXSP-TV locally and listen to live commentary on several radio stations including 96.9 FM WLAV and 93.3 FM La Poderosa for Spanish broadcasts.
Fans attending are encouraged to wear royal blue as they prepare for a forecast of sunny weather with temperatures around 58 degrees. The gameday schedule includes parking lot openings from 11 a.m., a Laker Walk at 12:50 p.m., and gates opening at 2 p.m., leading up to kickoff at 3 p.m.
Parking passes must be purchased in advance due to limited availability, with ADA Lot B and RV parking already sold out. General parking remains available for $10 on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees should have their digital tickets ready via gvsutickets.com, ideally printed beforehand to ensure smooth entry. The stadium enforces a no re-entry policy once tickets are scanned and maintains its cashless campus initiative requiring credit card payments only.
Merchandise and concessions will be accessible within the stadium grounds, with restrooms available at both ends of Lubbers Stadium. A new viewing deck offers reserved areas but remains open for general fan use.
