Grand Valley State University's soccer team secured a 2-1 victory against Roosevelt in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The win marks their final road game of the regular season and improves their record to 11-1-3 overall and 8-1-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Roosevelt initially took the lead in the first half with a penalty kick in the 39th minute. Despite trailing by one goal at halftime, GVSU led in shots with a count of 13-5.

The Lakers equalized in the second half when Alli French scored her fourth goal of the season in the 68th minute. The opportunity arose after multiple deflections inside the box allowed French to find an opening past Roosevelt's goalkeeper.

GVSU gained the lead shortly after, benefiting from a handball by Roosevelt that resulted in a penalty kick. Kacy Lauer successfully converted it into her second goal of the season by aiming for the bottom left corner.

Throughout the match, GVSU outshot Roosevelt significantly, recording 24 attempts compared to Roosevelt's eight. They also dominated corner kicks with 16 against none for Roosevelt. Alli French stood out with nine shots during her 85 minutes on field time. Kacy Lauer played all 90 minutes and contributed five shots along with scoring the decisive goal. Taylor Reid added four shots, three of which were on target, while Cailynn Junk started as goalkeeper and made two saves.

GVSU is set to conclude their weekend matches at home against Davenport on Sunday. The match will start at 1:00 PM at GVSU Soccer Field and will be available for live streaming on FloSports.
