Grand Valley State women's soccer draws against Davenport

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's soccer team, ranked 17th nationally, ended their match against Davenport in a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon. This result brings the Lakers' record to 11-1-4 overall and 8-1-3 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Throughout the game, GVSU took 11 shots compared to Davenport's five and had a slight edge with six corner kicks against four from the Panthers. Key players included Kacy Lauer and Alli Frnch, each contributing two shots with one on target while playing the entire match. Alex Williams also made an impact with two shots and one on goal during her 82 minutes on the field. Abby Winn and Ryann Fetty added one shot on goal each.

Defensively, Daan Louwerse and Mackenzie Ford were notable for their full-game participation. Goalkeeper Cailynn Junk started in goal for GVSU, making one save to secure her seventh individual shutout of the season.

Looking ahead, GVSU will play their final two regular-season games at home next week. They are set to face Northern Michigan on Thursday at 5:00 PM followed by Michigan Tech on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
