Grand Valley State University's women's soccer team, ranked 19th, is preparing for a significant weekend as they conclude their regular season with two crucial matches. The Lakers are set to host Northern Michigan on Thursday, November 7 at 5:00 PM and Michigan Tech on Saturday, November 9 at 1:00 PM.

Currently second in the GLIAC standings with an 8-1-3 record and an overall record of 11-1-4, GVSU trails Northern Michigan by one point. The final match against Michigan Tech will see GVSU face a team currently holding a 6-9-0 overall record and a 4-8-0 mark in conference play. Julia Pietila leads Michigan Tech's efforts with six goals this season.
