Grand Valley State University's women's soccer team, ranked 19th, is preparing for a significant weekend as they conclude their regular season with two crucial matches. The Lakers are set to host Northern Michigan on Thursday, November 7 at 5:00 PM and Michigan Tech on Saturday, November 9 at 1:00 PM.

Currently second in the GLIAC standings with an 8-1-3 record and an overall record of 11-1-4, GVSU trails Northern Michigan by one point. Northern Michigan leads the GLIAC with a 9-2-1 record and has scored 45 goals this season. They have amassed a total of 314 shots, leading the conference in that category. The Wildcats' standout player Justina L'Esperance tops the GLIAC with ten goals and seven assists, tied for the lead in assists with teammates Brooke Pietila and Molly Pistorius.

The final match against Michigan Tech will see GVSU face a team currently holding a 6-9-0 overall record and a 4-8-0 mark in conference play. Julia Pietila leads Michigan Tech's efforts with six goals this season.
