The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's basketball team is set to face Thomas More in an away game this Friday afternoon in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. This will be the Lakers' only game of the week.

GVSU comes into the match with a strong start to their season, having won their first five games. Last weekend, they secured home victories against Ohio Dominican and Walsh with scores of 94-43 and 85-41, respectively. In these games, Rylie Bisballe led the scoring on Saturday with 14 points, while Ellie Droste contributed 13 points and Avery Zeinstra added 10. On Sunday, Droste scored 12 points, Bisballe had 11 points along with eight rebounds, Abrie Cabana also scored 11 points, and Megan Crow achieved a perfect shooting record from the floor with 10 points.

Last season marked the first meeting between GVSU and Thomas More, where GVSU claimed an 85-36 victory at home. During that game, five Lakers scored in double figures, including Droste who led with 17 points. The team excelled in three-point shooting and rebounding while holding Thomas More to a low shooting percentage.

Thomas More has faced challenges early this season after losing their first two games against Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech. They have struggled offensively with low shooting percentages but have historically performed well at home.

Fans can follow Friday's game through live stats and streaming options available online. Updates will also be provided on social media via @gvsuwbb and GVSUlakers.com.
