Grand Valley State secures road win over Lewis with strong second-half performance

The Grand Valley State men's basketball team secured a victory against Lewis with a score of 85-76 on Tuesday night in Romeoville, Illinois. This win marks the Lakers' second triumph of the season, bringing their record to 2-1, while Lewis now stands at 2-2.

A significant factor in GVSU's success was their performance in the second half, where they scored 56 points and outscored Lewis by 13 points. The Lakers also achieved a season-high of 15 three-pointers, with 13 of those made during the second half.

Trevon Gunter led the scoring for GVSU with 19 points, including five three-pointers. Kaden Brown contributed 15 points and also made five triples. Trevor Smith Jr. added another 11 points and recorded two steals coming off the bench.
