Two top 10 women's basketball teams are set to face off in Allendale, Michigan. The second-ranked Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Lakers will host the seventh-ranked Ashland Eagles at the Fieldhouse on Thursday at 6:00 PM.

GVSU has started their season strong with a 6-0 record, winning each game by double digits. In their recent victory against Thomas More, they secured a decisive 71-34 win. Rylie Bisballe contributed significantly with 16 points and five rebounds, while Nicole Kamin added eight points. The Laker defense was effective, limiting Thomas More to just 26% shooting from the field and forcing 25 turnovers.

Ashland, ranked seventh, lost their season opener to Northwest Missouri State but have since won four consecutive games by margins of over 20 points. The Eagles' defense has been solid, allowing opponents fewer than 50 points per game and averaging 21 forced turnovers per contest. Senior Zoe Miller leads Ashland's scoring efforts with an average of 14.8 points per game on impressive shooting percentages both from the floor and beyond the arc.

The match between these two teams is highly anticipated as GVSU will face its third top-10 opponent this season after previous wins against #6 Montana State Billings and #8 Union.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear black for support. Additionally, the first 125 students to arrive will receive a t-shirt.

For those unable to attend in person, live stats and streaming options are available online. Radio coverage can be accessed via The Ticket (106.1 FM/1340 AM) or Thunder Country (107.3 FM). Updates will also be provided on social media through @gvsuwbb and GVSUlakers.com.
