Grand Valley State University has achieved significant recognition in the 2024 All-GLIAC football honors, with 20 players receiving accolades. Among them, senior offensive lineman Gabe Brown was named the GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year. The Lakers are set to face Indianapolis in the NCAA Division II Football First-Round playoff on Saturday at Lubbers Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.

Gabe Brown earned his second consecutive First-Team All-GLIAC honor and was a pivotal part of an offense that excelled nationally. "It marks the third consecutive year a Laker has been tabbed as the GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year and 11th time since 2005," noted a spokesperson. Brown's versatility contributed to a strong rushing game that led the GLIAC and ranked seventh nationally, averaging 247.2 yards per game.

Other notable First-Team All-GLIAC offensive players include senior center Kyler Blake-Jones and junior running back Khalil Eichelberger. Blake-Jones maintained a high efficiency rating, while Eichelberger was among the top rushers in the conference.

Defensively, junior linebacker Anthony Cardamone, senior safety Ian Kennelly, and junior cornerback Devin Pringle were recognized as First-Team honorees. They played crucial roles in one of the nation's top defenses.

The Second-Team honorees featured key contributors such as senior wide receiver Kyle Nott and junior offensive lineman Brett Weaver on offense. Defensively, seven Lakers made it to the Second Team, including standout performances from Jack Gilchrist and Thomas Jolly on the defensive line.

Sophomore Josh Schell received honors as a defensive end alongside senior long snapper David Kreske for special teams excellence. Senior quarterback Avery Moore showed dual-threat capabilities throughout the season.

Senior wide receiver/returner Darrell Johnson also made notable contributions with his receptions and returns, while tight end Gavin Cossou earned recognition for his performance.
