Grand Valley State's Lauren Kiley has been named the 2024 NCAA DII Women's Cross Country National Athlete of the Year. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The award recipients were chosen through a vote by coaches from USTFCCCA organizations, taking into account performances during the regular season and at the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships held in Sacramento, California.

Kiley, who hails from Canton, Michigan, completed an undefeated season with an individual title at the National Championships. She finished with a time of 20:28.5, leading by more than two seconds. The junior athlete added this national title to her victories earlier in the season at both the NCAA DII Midwest Region Championships and the GLIAC Championships.
