Grand Valley State University's senior forward, Rylie Bisballe, has been recognized as the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week. This marks her first time receiving this accolade in the current season. The announcement was made by the league office earlier today.
Bisballe's performance over two games contributed significantly to the Lakers' victories. She accumulated a total of 31 points with a shooting accuracy of 55% from the field. Additionally, she recorded seven rebounds, six assists, five steals, and three blocks. In a commanding 93-36 win against SVSU on Thursday, Bisballe scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting, alongside four assists, three rebounds, and three steals within just 15 minutes of playtime. In another match against Wayne State that ended in an 80-59 victory for her team, she added another 15 points and secured four rebounds.
Throughout this season, Bisballe has consistently scored in double figures across all nine games played by the Lakers. Her shooting percentage stands at an impressive 58%, placing her among the top-20 players nationally.
This recognition is not new for Bisballe; it is her sixth GLIAC Player of the Week award overall. Previously, she received two honors for offensive performances and four for defensive contributions.
