The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's basketball team is set to continue their December schedule with two away games. The Lakers will face Quincy on Friday and Drury on Sunday. The match against Quincy will be an away game, while the contest with Drury will take place at a neutral venue, the University of Illinois.

The Lakers are currently ranked as the top team in the nation, boasting an undefeated record of 9-0 overall and 2-0 in league play. Last week, they secured victories over SVSU with a score of 93-36 and Wayne State with 80-59. Rylie Bisballe earned the title of GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring 31 points and contributing seven rebounds, six assists, five steals, and three blocks. Teammates MacKenzie Bisballe, Ellie Droste, Megan Crow, and Nicole Kamin also achieved double figures in scoring during the weekend games. This marks the second time in three seasons that GVSU has started 9-0; they began the 2022-23 season with a perfect 12-0 record.

Quincy enters Friday's game with a record of 6-3 overall and 1-2 in GLVC play. They have lost two out of their last three games against Upper Iowa and Drury, conceding over 80 points in both defeats. Nicole McDermott leads Quincy's offense as the GLVC's second-leading scorer at 18.3 points per game (ppg). Mariann Boss and Taylor Haase also average over ten points per game for Quincy. The Hawks have been strong on rebounds this season, out-rebounding opponents by nearly 14 per game.

On Sunday, GVSU will face Drury at the University of Illinois in a matchup between consistent Midwest region contenders. Drury holds a record of 6-2 after losing their season opener to Ferris State but winning six out of their next seven games. They remain undefeated in GLVC play with wins over Southwest Baptist, Quincy, and Truman State. Drury averages more than 80 points per game led by Rhi Gibbons at 16.1 ppg and Caitlynn Daniels at an average of 14 ppg.

Fans can follow Friday's game against Quincy through live stats or live stream options that are available online. Details for following Sunday's game against Drury have yet to be announced.
