In Allendale, Michigan, the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's basketball team secured their 13th win of the season in a game marked by an unusual interruption. The match against an unnamed opponent was delayed for 90 minutes due to a campus-wide power outage that occurred right at halftime. Despite this setback, the Lakers emerged victorious with a decisive score of 93-52.

The Lakers started strong, establishing a 13-2 lead early in the game with successful three-pointers from Kathryn Schmidt, Lexi Plitzuweit, and Ellie Droste. Abrie Cabana's three-pointer extended their lead to 18-4. Hadley Miller contributed two layups towards the end of the first quarter, closing it at 22-7.

In the second quarter, GVSU maintained momentum with a 12-0 run that pushed their lead to 34-7. By halftime, they led comfortably at 44-19.

After the lengthy power outage delay, GVSU resumed play energetically with another strong start in the second half. A notable moment came when Rylie Bisballe hit a three-pointer that placed her in 10th position on GVSU's all-time scoring list with 1,307 points. The third quarter ended with Grand Valley leading by 37 points at 73-36.

Lauren Slagle made an impactful play early in the fourth quarter by converting a layup through contact and completing a three-point play to extend GVSU's lead to over 40 points at 78-38. The Lakers maintained this margin throughout and concluded with another comfortable victory margin above forty points for their sixth such win this season.

Rylie Bisballe led all scorers with fifteen points while Lauren Slagle achieved a career-high thirteen points. Abrie Cabana added twelve points to the team's total score. MacKenzie Bisballe scored eight points along with four rebounds and two blocks; Sydney Cherney topped rebounds for GVSU grabbing eight boards; Nicole Kamin contributed five points alongside five rebounds and four steals as well as helping secure victory through efficient ball management resulting only six turnovers across fourteen players who scored during gameplay against winning rebounding battle (49–36).
