Trevor Smith Jr. emerged as GVSU's top scorer with 11 points on an efficient 4-6 shooting performance, alongside contributing two steals. Shamus Thompson added ten points, connecting on two out of three shots from the field and six out of nine free throws. He also collected five rebounds, four being offensive. Kaden Brown contributed another ten points along with two rebounds, making four out of five free throws. William Dunn provided eight points and led his team with eight rebounds.
On Michigan Tech's side, Ty Fernholz was instrumental in their victory by scoring 18 points through five successful three-pointers out of ten attempts. Dawson Nordgaard added ten points on a highly accurate shooting display, hitting five out of seven shots and recording three steals. Josh Terrian chipped in with nine points by making half of his six attempts from beyond the arc.
