Grand Valley State players earn spots on Don Hansen All-America team

The Grand Valley State football program has achieved notable recognition with four players being named to the 2024 Don Hansen All-America team. Among them, Gabe Brown was distinguished as a consensus First-Team All-American. Senior center Kyler Blake-Jones, junior defensive end Niles King, and junior cornerback Devin Pringle received honorable mentions.

Brown played a crucial role on the offensive line for the Lakers, contributing significantly to a rushing game that led the GLIAC and ranked seventh nationally with an average of 247.2 yards per game. The team managed to rush for over 235 yards in eight games. Brown demonstrated skill in both run and pass blocking, achieving a 96.3 efficiency rating during the regular season. His performance earned him a spot as a finalist for the 2024 Gene Upshaw Award, along with accolades such as the 2024 GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year and two-time First-Team All-GLIAC honors.

Blake-Jones was recognized as a D2CCA First-Team All-Super Region 3 performer and also received First-Team All-GLIAC honors. Both King and Pringle were acknowledged with D2CCA and All-GLIAC honors.

Grand Valley State concluded their 2024 season with an impressive record of 11-2, marking their fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA DII Playoffs.
