Grand Valley State University's Swim and Dive teams have been recognized with the GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors for the week of January 13, 2025.

Lucy Hedley was named Women's Swimmer of the Week after securing victories in the 100, 200, and 500 freestyle events during a meet against Wayne State University. Her times were recorded at 51.94, 1:52.75, and 5:05.01 respectively. Additionally, Hedley contributed to a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.11.

Macy Polasek earned the title of Women's Diver of the Week by achieving first place in the 1-meter dive with a score of 242.63 and third place in the 3-meter dive scoring 233.63.

On the men's side, Matt Bosch was honored as Men's Swimmer of the Week following his impressive performance at Saturday's meet against Wayne State University. Bosch won all four events he participated in and helped set a pool record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:22.82. He also secured first place finishes in the 100 freestyle (45.11), 200 freestyle (1:39.20), and 100 butterfly (50.09).

Carter Wood was named Men's Diver of the Week after winning the 1-meter dive with a score of 309.23 and placing third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 283.88.

The Lakers are scheduled to compete against Davenport University Panthers on Saturday, January 18th at Kentwood Aquatics Center at 3 p.m.
